Sofia and Giacomo don’t want to move house, but their parents won’t change their mind. At the end of summer, they reluctantly arrive to the new Residence, surrounded by pink buildings and flowering plants: a small oasis in the chaotic heart of Rome.
Outside the gates, traffic rages, horns honk, and the big city buzzes with excitement; inside, adventures and new friends await the two children and their cats, Venere and GattoMan.
In this new world, there is a Secret Garden, in the center of the Residence, where no one is allowed to enter. Why is it closed, and why does it seem to be controlled by the Elders who appear as soon as someone approaches the surrounding wall? Sofia and Giacomo want to find out what hides beyond the high wall of roses and bushes that makes the garden inaccessible.
In the meantime, Mum and Dad also share a secret and are acting strangely.
To solve these mysteries, the two siblings will have to team up with each other – testing their bond – and with the other children in the Residence.
They will discover that places tell the story of the city and the community in which we live, and that the past must be shared with others to remember what has been and why we are here today, free.
